Do you support revising TDSB Policy P042 (Appropriate Dress) so that it aligns with equity and human rights, and so that it incorporates greater opportunity for student voice in dress code development, review, and revision?
Yes, I support reviewing and revisiting on occasion TDSB policies in regard to dress codes so that they do not unreasonable harm students human and equity rights. However, I am not interested in ending student dress codes as I feel they are an important tool for the TDSB, teachers, and principals to help establish unique school cultures and communities across the TDSB and they assist students long-term in establishing a standard of personal professionalism and appearance.
